Abhyangan

Full body therapeutic body massage with ayurvedic oil. The procedure starts with the head massage then a face massage and then for the whole body. After the massage the masseur or masseuse will help you with the bath. The water for this purpose is boiled with different herbs and a special herbal paste is applied on the body to rub off the excess oil leaving only a thin film of oil.

The whole process takes more than a hour. An abhyangan helps to improve the circulation and sleep, remove muscle and joint stiffness and stress and re-energies your body and mind.

Navadhanya Kizhi

This is a body fomentation process using cloth filled with powders and herbs, grains, herbal leaves which have anti-inflammatory actions. This process is done for 3, 5 or 7 days helps to bring out inflammation embedded in joints. This treatment is effective for joint pain, back pain, sports injuries etc.

Njavara Kizhi

A body fomentation process using boluses filled with a mixture of medicated rice, herbs, meat etc. This process is done for 5, 7, 9 or 11 days. This is very effective for muscle wasting diseases and rheumatism.

Pizhichil

A treatment procedure in which water medicated oil is poured in a special pattern by 2 or 4 masseuses 4 – 5 liters of medicated oil is used for a single session. The type of oil differs according to the patient’s condition. Pizhichil is very effective in rheumatism, nervous debility etc.

Shirodhara

Warm medicated liquid is made to flow on to your forehead from over hanging pot. Shirodhara is done with medicated oil, decoction, buttermilk and milk. This treatment helps to relieve insomnia, stren, anxiety, headache, migraine etc.

Dhanyamladhara

The medicine used for this treatment is prepared 9 days prior to the commencement of the treatment. The medicine is prepared in a big sealed earthen pot Rice husk is arranged on all sides and set a fire. The fire has to burn from the commencement to the conclusion of the treatment procedure. After the 9th day the lid is removed and the decoction needed for the treatment is taken and replaced by the rice water.

Dhanyamladhara is one of the most effective treatments for all types of arthritis.

Udvartheram

This is a body massage with finely powdered herbs. Udvarthenam can be used for skin diseases, obesity and stimulate the nerves.

Netrakshalanom

This is done to clean the drainages of the eye. The medicines like sandalwood, Indian goose berry helps to relieve strain from eye muscles and reduces dryness of the eye and gives a cooling effect.

Highly recommended if you are computer savvy.

Lepanam

Application of a herbal paste all over the body which removes the toxins from the skin. Useful in skin diseases.

Chavitti Thirumal

Full body massage done by a masseur/ masseuse with his or her legs. The patient has lie on the mat laid on the floor and the masseur balances himself on a string. This traditional massage developed by ayurvedic physicians of kerala is very effective for the back.

Marma Massage

A full body massage in which the masseur/ masseuse energizes the body by applying pressure as the marmas or points when body energy is concentrated.

Treatments like Sirovasti, Dhoomapanam etc is carried out if required.
